The success of a living near a water source, and having fertile soil. They could farm and not worry about food, and worry more on other necessitates. This allowed for civilizations to start up, and the diversities of specialization allowed for a great place.

Homo sapiens were more advanced and developed than the earlier humans such as homo habilis and homo erectus. This is why they may have been able to hunt better than earlier primates.
