A piece of legislation passed shortly after world war 2 that helped persons with disabilities was Smith-Sears Veterans Rehabilitation Act. It initiated a program to vocationally rehabilitate veterans who were disabled during the war. It has the purpose to help the veteran soldiers improve and support for their finances.
