This quote echoes the theories of Robert Park.

Robert Park was an American sociologist in the early 20th century. He is known for creating the Chicago School of Sociology and for also coining the phrase 'human ecology'. Park believed that society is a living organism that grows and adapts and is constantly learning. To him it would be inevitable that one day we will all learn to adapt to each other and not see differences.
