An aurora can be defined as southern lights, polar lights, northern lights, is type of  natural light display in the sky.

It is generally seen in the high altitude regions.These are formed by the disturbance in the magnetosphere which is caused by solar winds.

These are light which appears in the sky due to the particles, mainly electron and protons that precipitate into the upper atmosphere.
