we know he deposited 41.67, we also know that's the 60% of his paycheck, the total paycheck will be the 100%.

[tex]\bf \begin{array}{ccll} amount&\%\\ \cline{1-2} 41.67&60\\ x&100 \end{array}\implies \cfrac{41.67}{x}=\cfrac{60}{100}\implies \cfrac{41.67}{x}=\cfrac{3}{5}\implies 208.35=3x \\\\\\ \cfrac{208.35}{3}=x\implies 69.45=x[/tex]
