Answer:

The correct answer is:

6.1 m/s² (B)

Explanation:

Acceleration = Rate of change of velocity per unit time.

Rate of change of velocity = V₂ - V₁

Therefore Acceleration = ( V₂ - V₁ ) ÷ Time

V₂ = 120m/s

V₁ = 65m/s

∴ Rate of change of velocity = 120 - 65 = 55m/s

Time = 9.0 s.

∴ Acceleration = 55 ÷ 9 = 6.1 m/s²
