Before the bombs were dropped the Americans told the Japanese to evacuate their civilians so they wouldn't be affected them. But the Japanese government didn't believe we had a bomb like that. We targeted Hiroshima because at that time it was a military city. And if it wasn't dropped then America would have sent more Americans over their to be killed
