In multiplication, the order doesn't matter.

2 rows of 7 and 7 rows of 2 is the same.

If you have seven 2's, that's the same as two 7's.

See here:

2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 14

7 + 7 = 14

Or:

2 * 7 = 7 * 2 = 14
