Explanation:

Townshend acts were a new laws introduced in the colonies after the French and Indian war with a goal to improve the economic situation of the Empire. But, as the acts directly were introduced in colonies, most of them started opposing them. This culminated with the Boston Massacre. Realizing that the measures are unacceptable, the king decided to repeal the Townshend atcs.
