If Maersk ran a total 80 trains a day with each having 180 containers per train, how many cars would they need in total?

Answer:

Assuming 1 container per train car..

180 * 80

can be done mentally as

18 * 8 = 144

add the two zeroes onto the answer

180 * 80 = 14,400

14,400 train cars would be needed
