One difference is the equipment used. Pickleball uses a ball similar to a wiffle ball whereas badminton uses a shuttlecock (or birdie). In addition, pickleball uses paddles whereas badminton which uses rackets (similar to tennis rackets but slightly smaller and lighter). The two courts also differ slightly.
