The equation in exponentail form -->. 4^-3 = (1/4)^3 1/4^3 = 1/64 1/64 = 1/64

log(x^y)=ylog(x)
[tex]log_xy=m[/tex] means [tex]x^m=y[/tex]
also
x^-m=1/(x^m)
so

[tex]log_4(1/4)^3=-3[/tex] means [tex]4^{-3}=(1/4)^3[/tex] or1/(4^3)=(1/4)^3=1/64=1/64
