Jennifer had a 7/8-foot board. she cut off a 1/4-foot piece that was for a project. in feet ,howmuch of the board was left?

If you only have a piece of wood 7/8 feet long and you cut off a 1/4 feet piece, you are left with 5/8 foot board. all you have to do is to subtract 7/8 - 1/4.

7/8 - 1/4 = 7/8 - 2/8 = 5/8
