Jewish baby naming ceremonies are ceremonies in which Jewish families reveal the names of their baby, roughly 8 days after birth. The usually name their babies after previous ancestors in hopes that the baby will grow to be as successful as them. Jews usually perform this ritual to avoid rite-less passage, small things going celebrated, and a reinforcement of beliefs for the family and the baby
