The main pigment found in the chloroplasts of plants is called chlorophyll. It has a large role in the process of photosynthesis(the food eating process of a plant). The chlorophyll absorbs the sunlight and helps convert water and carbon dioxide into sugars for the plant to consume. It reflects the yellow or green colors of visible light. Under a microscope it looks like Green Walls
