slope = (7-3)/(5-2) = 4/3

passes through the points (2,3) and (5,7).
so
y = mx + b
3 = 4/3(2) + b
3 = 8/3 + b
b = 3 - 8/3
b = 9/3 - 8/3
b = 1/3

equation
y = 4/3x + 1/3
