First, simplify brackets. / Your problem should look like: 1 = w - 6
Second, add 6 to both sides. / Your problem should look like: 1 + 6 = w
Third, simplify 1 + 6 to 7. / Your problem should look like: 7 = w
Fourth, switch sides. / Your problem should look like: w = 7
