Substitute the value of x into the function; 

f(0.25)=1/3(-5(0.25))
f(0.25)=1/3(-5(1/4))
f(1/4)=1/3(-5/4)
f(1/4)=-5/12 

Therefore, the function would be at -5/12 when x=1/4
